Our school board  voter guide consists of the following video questions and answers:

  • Opening statement
  • Question 1: What will you do to attract and retain great teachers in every Oakland public school?
  • Question 2: There has been a historic distance between OUSD and City Hal, as evidenced by this November's competing parcel tax ballot measures. OUSD's new strategic vision,Thriving Students, requires tremendous collaboration and partnership between OUSD and City Hall including on facilities, health, safety and more. How will you specifically partner with City Hall to serve our students? How will you develop a close and productive relationship between OUSD and City Hall?
  • Question 3: GO Public Schools has prioritized effective teachers, strong leadership, individualized education, empowered school communities, choice about schools, and One Vision, One Oakland. How do these priorities resonate with you ,and how will you partner with GO Public Schools to advance these priorities?
